Object Types
Every object you can add to a scene, grouped the same way as the Add Object Bar. Expand a category to see what's inside and how to create it.
Geometry
33 types across six subcategories, all reachable from the Geometry tab of the Add Object Bar.
Primitives (4)
Point
A single labeled point — the basic building block most other Geometry objects snap to.
How to create it:
- Click to place the point.
Segment
A straight line between two points.
How to create it:
- Click to set the start (snaps to existing points).
- Click to set the end.
Dashed Segment
The same as a Segment, drawn with a dashed stroke.
How to create it:
- Click to set the start (snaps to existing points).
- Click to set the end.
Circle
A circle defined by its center and a point on its edge.
How to create it:
- Click to set the center.
- Click to set a point on the circle — this defines the radius.
Annotations (4)
Label
A letter label or live measurement attached to an existing point, segment, or angle.
How to create it:
- Hover over a point, segment, or angle.
- Click to attach the next free letter label — or Alt-click a segment or angle to attach a live length/angle measurement instead.
- Click empty canvas to stop placing labels.
Angle
An arc marking the angle between two rays from a shared vertex.
How to create it:
- Select or place the vertex.
- Select or place a point on the first ray.
- Select or place a point on the second ray.
Right Angle
The same three clicks as Angle, but draws the small square right-angle marker instead of an arc.
How to create it:
- Select or place the vertex.
- Select or place a point on the first ray.
- Select or place a point on the second ray.
Segment Length
A dimension line measuring the distance between two points.
How to create it:
- Click to set the measurement start.
- Click to set the measurement end.
- Click to offset the measurement line to either side.
Polygons (8)
Triangle
How to create it:
- Click to set vertex 1.
- Click to set vertex 2.
- Click to set vertex 3.
Right Triangle
A triangle with a right angle built into its construction.
How to create it:
- Click to set the first leg's endpoint.
- Click to set the right-angle vertex.
- Click to set the second leg's length and side.
Quadrilateral
How to create it:
- Click to set vertex 1.
- Click to set vertex 2.
- Click to set vertex 3.
- Click to set vertex 4.
Square
How to create it:
- Click to set vertex 1.
- Click to set the base.
- Click to choose which side the square falls on.
Rectangle
The same three-click flow as Square, with each side sized independently.
How to create it:
- Click to set vertex 1.
- Click to set the base.
- Click to choose the rectangle's side.
Parallelogram
How to create it:
- Click to set vertex 1.
- Click to set vertex 2.
- Click to set vertex 3 — the 4th vertex is deduced automatically.
Rhombus
How to create it:
- Click to set vertex 1.
- Click to set the side length.
- Click to choose the second side's direction.
Polygon
A closed shape with as many vertices as you click.
How to create it:
- Click to add each vertex, in order.
- Once you have 3 or more vertices, press Enter (or keep clicking) to finish.
Curves (3)
Ellipse
How to create it:
- Select or place the center.
- Select or place the major-axis point.
- Select or place the minor-axis point.
Arc
How to create it:
- Select or place the arc's start point.
- Select or place the arc's end point.
- Select or place a point the arc passes through.
Parabola
How to create it:
- Select or place the parabola's start point.
- Select or place the parabola's end point.
- Select or place the vertex.
Constructions (8)
Tangent
One or both tangent lines from a point to an existing circle.
How to create it:
- Click an existing point, or place a new one.
- Click the circle to draw tangents to.
- Approve each tangent line as it previews (up to 2).
Tangent at Point
A tangent line touching a circle at one specific point.
How to create it:
- Click the circle to select it.
- Click the contact point on the circle (snaps to points already on it).
- Set the first endpoint of the tangent line.
- Set the second endpoint of the tangent line.
Intersection
A point wherever two existing segments cross.
How to create it:
- Click the first segment.
- Click the second segment.
Extend Segment
Extends an existing segment past one of its endpoints.
How to create it:
- Click the segment to extend.
- Click along its direction to set how far to extend it.
Perpendicular Drop
A dashed line dropped from a point straight onto a line, with a right-angle marker where it lands.
How to create it:
- Select the point to drop the perpendicular from.
- Select the line to drop it onto.
Perpendicular Bisector
How to create it:
- Select the line segment to bisect.
- Place the first endpoint of the bisector line.
- Place the second endpoint of the bisector line.
Angle Bisector
How to create it:
- Select or place the angle's vertex.
- Select or place a point on the first ray.
- Select or place a point on the second ray.
- Set the bisector's endpoint, or snap it to a side.
Parallel Line
How to create it:
- Select the line segment to draw parallel to.
- Click to set how far away the parallel line sits.
- Click to set the parallel line's start point.
- Click to set its end point.
Markers (6)
Markers are placed by hovering, not clicking through a point sequence — pick one from the Add Object Bar, then hover over an existing segment or angle.
Parallel Mark
A small tick on a segment, indicating it's parallel to another marked segment.
How to create it:
- Hover over a segment.
- Click to place the mark.
Double Parallel Mark
The same as Parallel Mark, with two ticks instead of one — for a second parallel pair.
How to create it:
- Hover over a segment.
- Click to place the mark.
Equal Mark
A small tick on a segment, indicating it's equal in length to another marked segment.
How to create it:
- Hover over a segment.
- Click to place the mark.
Double Equal Mark
The same as Equal Mark, with two ticks instead of one.
How to create it:
- Hover over a segment.
- Click to place the mark.
Angle Tick
A small tick on an angle's arc, indicating it's equal to another marked angle.
How to create it:
- Hover over an angle.
- Click to place the mark.
Double Angle Arc
The same as Angle Tick, drawn as a second arc instead of a tick.
How to create it:
- Hover over an angle.
- Click to place the mark.
Math & Logic
7 types, all reachable from the Math & Logic tab of the Add Object Bar.
Polyline Tool
An open, multi-segment line through as many points as you click.
How to create it:
- Click to start the polyline.
- Click to add each additional point.
- Press Enter (or keep clicking) to finish.
Brace
A curly brace spanning between two points.
How to create it:
- Click the tail point.
- Click the tip point.
Arrow
How to create it:
- Click the tail point.
- Click the tip point.
Dashed Arrow
The same as Arrow, drawn with a dashed stroke.
How to create it:
- Click the tail point.
- Click the tip point.
Fill Region
A filled color region bounded by existing lines and curves — not a freeform shape of its own.
How to create it:
- Click inside an area enclosed by existing geometry to select it as a region.
- Click more enclosed areas to add them, or double-click to finish.
Bezier
A cubic Bezier curve with four control points.
How to create it:
- Click Bezier in the Add Object Bar — it's placed immediately with four default control points.
- Drag its points, or use the floating toolbar's Edit Points editor, to reshape the curve.
Function
A plotted curve from a mathematical expression (defaults to y = sin(x)).
How to create it:
- Click Function in the Add Object Bar — it's placed immediately with the default expression.
- Use the floating toolbar's Edit Curve editor to change the expression.
Media & Text
1 type, reachable from the Media & Text tab of the Add Object Bar.
LaTeX — a rendered LaTeX expression.
How to create it:
- Click where the LaTeX should be inserted.
- Type the expression in the editor that opens.
